Individual Adult Therapy

What You Can Expect

Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes or changing who you are. It’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s been driving you, the people-pleasing, the self-doubt, the constant scanning for cues of safety or approval, and learning to meet those parts of you with compassion instead of judgment.

Over time, our work helps you:

  • Feel more grounded and at ease in your body

  • Loosen patterns that once felt automatic or necessary

  • Build trust in your inner voice and emotions

  • Set boundaries that feel natural, not forced

  • Navigate relationships and cultural tensions with more clarity and grace

  • Reconnect with a sense of belonging that starts from within

This process isn’t about becoming a “better” version of yourself, it’s about remembering the self that’s been here all along, waiting to exhale.

 FAQs

  • That’s totally okay, many people I work with are new to therapy! We’ll typically start with a free 15 minute consultation to answer any administrative or general questions you might have about beginning this process together. From there, we’ll move into a few intake sessions, which are half the fee of a regular session.

During the intake phase, I’ll ask a broad range of questions about your life (family, health, living situation, relationships, and more) to get a holistic sense of where you are right now. You’re always welcome to skip any questions or go as deep as feels right for you!

Once the intake sessions are complete (typically one to three sessions), we’ll begin our regular therapy sessions and continue building from there.

Just a heads up every therapist has their own way of getting started, so don’t hesitate to ask questions along the way. Seriously, there are no dumb questions here! Everyone does it a little differently, and I’ll happily walk you through how I do things.

  • That’s a great question and something we’ll check in on together. While I’ll always support your sense of what feels helpful, I also pay attention to the subtle, powerful shifts that can be easy to miss. Over time, you might start showing up differently, taking up more space, speaking with a little more ease, and I’ll reflect those changes back to you so you can see your own growth more clearly.

After about three months, I like to revisit some of the goals or questions from our intake to see how therapy is feeling for you. Sometimes parts of the work are resonating while others aren’t, and that’s something we can talk about openly. My hope is that these check-ins help the process feel more intentional, aligned, and supportive.

That said, I’ll never tell you what your experience should be. If at any point therapy with me doesn’t feel like it’s bringing the changes you hoped for, that’s completely okay, sometimes it just means we’re not the right fit.

  • Both! For in-person sessions I work in Hayes Valley in San Francisco.

Wednesday: 110 Gough Street, San Francisco 94102

  • I have a 24 hour cancellation policy so as long as you let me know 24 hours before our session time, there will be no charges! But life happens, and if you do need to cancel within 24 hours then the full session fee will be charged.

  • I currently only work on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am - 8pm

  • It depends on what you’re looking for. Some people come to therapy with a specific goal in mind, which can be a shorter process, often less than a year. Others come wanting to explore deeper patterns and that kind of work naturally unfolds over a longer period, sometimes a couple of years or more.
